Two Three (I can count, yes) weeks ago yesterday, bk2w asked me would I marry him.

I said,  "Yes."

After we both got over that shock, we decided we'd tell people in person for a while, then tell the rest of the world in a week or two. The summer party seemed as good a time as any.

We made no announcements or speeches, but sprinkled about the party were various decorative clues (white crepe streamers, bells, doves, a lovebird cake topper, etc.), encouraging the natural nosiness curiosity of our friends.  I don't *think* anyone left the party without hearing the news, but it's possible. 

So yes, we're engaged.  And there is much rejoicing.  =)
